An epiphany about blogs

So I was sitting around trying for the life of me to figure out what I wanted to do with this blog.  In the past I always thought blogs were a big waste of time and something that only your mother would read or worse lie about reading.  So I felt like the whole thing was going to be a big waste of time.

Then it dawned on me through the help of a nice guy that blogs can be a powerful tool and rather helpful in building a name for yourself.  You just have to remember a few important things.  First off, don’t post pointless things baout your life and everything else.  That’s lame and nobody is going to read it.  Instead, I’ll post only useful information that is in my head that people would be looking up.   It makes much more sense to do that then people actually have a reson to read the blog.  Give em an incentive.

So obviously I need to write about things I’m knowledgeable about.  So I’m not going to do any philosophy or crap like that but I do know computers and art so that is what I will blog about.

Computers its easy.  Describe the problem I had and then type how I solved it.  Straightforward enough.  The art stuff is a little more vague.  If I discover something nifty in Photoshop or 3D Studio Max then I’ll write how I did it and supply the best search terms I can for it so people find that little nugget of info I left online.

Essentially I’m just writing this becuase I can’t figure out what else to do with this damn thing.  So if anyone has a question that is computer or art related send it to me and I’ll try to blog about it.  Until then I guess its back to ramble ramble ramble…

Rudeness….

The fallacy of public transportation is that people in tightly confined spaces don’t get along.  People also smell which is something that no one likes.  So the real point of this post is that if your a light rail rider by all freaking means maintain personal hygene.

Secondly the people that choose to tag things and do graffiti.  Seriously unless you do something cool your just annoying.  That is all.

Blog about webart….by a college student

So here are my nonsense rantings about what I think about web art.  Its good stuff.  First I need to sort of describe the way that I look at the Internet since that is the medium web art is created on for people to understand what I think web art is.  The Internet for me is the closest thing that there is to human artificial intelligence in my opinion.  If you think about it, the Internet has everything that human beings have except the biological meaty slop that composes our human bodies.  It has our history, our culture, thoughts hopes dreams everything is located on there.  Even the base carnal passion (which consists a large part of the Internet with porn (yeah I dropped that word in here to get search engines to find me more go me.) and a strange fascination with kittens (If I see one more You-tube video of cats I’m gonna lose it.) All of this is connected together in the most chaotic way possible just like our memories are linked .  Everyone collaborates and adds to it making it as real as it can possibly be.  So web art would be the more cultural aspect to the artificial psyche.  That is what I think web art is.  By the way since my family will probably be the biggest readers of this because I’m just a college student and don’t rank with the A list celebs, thus having a small fan following,  Kim are you going to the baseball game with us this weekend?

-Also I was asked to give an example.  I submit that Google prooves my point by just looking at the search history of other people.  Wikipedia, Youtube, and Blogspot are also other examples.

Yet another college students blog.

Yep its another college student that has made a blog that only his mother will read.
